About Dr. Halvorson

Dr. Thomas Halvorson, MD is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine. He is fellowship trained and holds a certificate of additional qualifications in sports medicine — only two orthopedic subspecialties offer such advanced certification.

Dr. Halvorson is an established physician in Spokane and Spokane Valley and has long been involved in the local sports community as the team physician for several athletic teams. Currently, he is the team physician for Eastern Washington University.

Formerly with Rockwood Clinic, Dr. Halvorson now is in private practice. As a sports medicine specialist, he treats a wide range of orthopedic injuries often seen in athletes such as fractures, dislocations and sprains.
