Walk-in clinic now available
October 19, 2015
You now can walk into OSI’s Spokane office between 9 a.m.-5 p.m. and receive care of your shoulder, knee or hip injury. For patients injured over the weekend, it means skipping urgent care and getting right into a specialist’s exam room.
“There are a lot of weekend warriors and as a result, we see a lot of injuries,” said Dr. Thomas Halvorson, OSI’s sports-medicine specialist. “Our Monday walk-in clinics give people a place to go and get care more quickly. Let’s face it; nobody wants to wait when they’re in pain. Now they don’t have to.”
OSI is committed to providing the community with greater access to orthopedic care. Over the summer, the Spokane Clinic began offering free evaluations of sports-related injuries through OSI’s Sports Triage Clinic. Walk-ins are welcome on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 1-4 p.m.
OSI also has partnered with sports organizations such as Breakers Soccer and Spokane Indians Youth Baseball to provide courtesy medical care to their athletes. OSI is currently working on other similar partnerships in the community, said Jen Miley, OSI’s chief operating officer.
“Everyone of OSI’s surgeons and staff members is committed to serving our communities,” Miley said. “We care about the health of our fellow residents, and we’re here to help them.”
OSI’s Spokane office is located at 26 E. Avenue. Call 509.747.5615 for more information or visit www.osinw.com.
